The end of an era, or at least the end of Michal and Laura’s lease at the Pomeroy kick started KWK #5! After a recap of the group’s recent engagement, the highs and lows of home renovations, safari chat and some glasses of Lord Howe Island champagne, two new whiskies – from two new distilleries were introduced. Marky Mark started off by sharing a story about a Scottish, nutty whisky. The second was an Australian whisky, from WA which had a more spirit twang to it. To round out the evening, Michal’s new smoking machine made an appearance, which certainly brought some theatre to the evening, but didn’t burn the house down (we need the bond back). To be noted in the minutes is the vote to invite two new members, newlyweds Alicia and Loch to the next KWK, pending final reference checks. Next KWK to be held at Paul St, Bondi Junction!
